The Indie Machine is a constantly growing monster, and every week David and I are always looking for new ways to expand our brand, reach more people, and give even more promo to deserving bands we feel aren’t getting the recognition they ought to be.

Over the past year, our live event series has probably been the venture that has grown the most, starting with a regular monthly showcase at one of our favourite venues (Rancho Relaxo – side note: I am the Foursquare Mayor of this establishment), and now nearly a year later expanding to three monthly showcases including prominent Toronto venues The Silver Dollar, and The El Mocambo.

Last night I reworked the coding on the website to better accommodate this growing section of our brand and adjusted our new events calendar system – it is our hope that we can start to receive submitted events and plug them into this section for an easily scannable overview of everything musical going down in the city (as well as an alotted space for an advertised event in order to procure additional ad revenue).

Hopefully this section will take off soon – though I’m already fearful for the mass inundation of email my iM inbox is about to receive.
