Intro

In spring 2014, after a combined two decades in the industry working on essentially everything imaginable – theatre, airlines, automotive, finance, non-profit, tourism, pharmaceuticals, and food – PR maven sisters Daphna & Karen Nussbaum were getting ready to set out on their own. They’d already found a name: “Storia” and had their logo set with an ‘open book’ motif – what they needed was a website that could embody their brand so they could spend more of their time helping their clients promote their own.

The Brand/Identity

As StoriaPR would be launching sans-clientele – we were faced with the task of having to figure out how to visualize (and personalize) a PR agency experience. Our branding photoshoot placed the Storia business card amongst various objects – to suggest that no sector was outside the realm of possibilities. This shoot ultimately culminated in the main ‘open book’ branding image (embodying their logo iconography) that is used across the website header and on all StoriaPR’s social media platforms.

The Website

StoriaPR’s website was built on WordPress using v.0.51 of our proprietary MODULUS framework – this version was the first fully “out-of-the-box” mobile version and uses a basic jQuery side-drawer mobile menu system. The website needed to have the basic standalone pages (About, Contact, Services); but with StoriaPR’s brand – and heart – based on the theme of telling stories, the team also wanted the ability to tell their own from time to time: this meant full blog functionality was a must. Alongside the blog, we also created an integrated “Client” system which would allow the team at Storia full control over creating client profile pages and outlining them with links to their prospective websites, campaigns, news articles, and other items of interest.

Further Updates

In 2017 Storia’s website was upgraded to Modulus v.0.7 which featured a cleaner more modern layout, and enhancements to their mobile menu, search functionality, and their custom clients system – which was now expanded to feature their client profiles in a rotating carousel component that appears across all pages of the website and auto-aggregates any new additions into the system.
